Pic Coolidge, north-west face, "Ballade pour un cyclo"

A new route in the NW face of Pic Coolidge, with Xavier. TD, 350m, ice 85°, M4+. 8 ice screws, 6 friends up to n°1, 6 pitons.

The route begins between the Girod-Sigareyt route (1954) and the recent "Bonkoucoolocoolidge" route. After going up a couloir from 40m, we continued straight on thin ice (75°), up to the bottom of a steep rock wall, that we passed on the right (M4+). After an easy traverse on the left (M3) we followed several gullies (ice 85°), and reached snow slopes (50°) that we followed up to the est summit of Coolidge
